What are the common surface finishing of packaging and printing?

Packaging&printing can use various common printing tools to achieve pattern printing, such as bronzing, UV jet printing, embossing, embossing, embossing, etc. Printing tools are finally diecut into finished products. Today, we will introduce to you. Several common printing processes in the packaging printing process.

1. Lamination: refers to the use of a laminating machine to cover a layer of transparent plastic film with a thickness of 0.012~0.020mm on the surface of the printed product. Generally, film materials are divided into two types: bright film and matt film. The surface of the coated printed matter will be smoother, brighter, stain-resistant, water-resistant, and wear-resistant, with brighter colors, less damage, and improved service life. Main uses: various product packaging, single pages, calendars, etc.

2. Die-cutting: also called beer, pronounced "bie" in Guangdong. The die-cutting process is a process of processing the shape of the die-cutting knife and the crimping knife in the same template, so that various printing and packaging can be presented in three-dimensional and curved lines.

3. Embossing: The embossing area is left blank. The process effect produced by the simple embossing process leaving graphics on the surface of the substrate mainly emphasizes a certain part of the design to highlight its importance.

4. Embossing: Embossing is a common processing technology for decorative packaging materials. The surface of the embossed packaging and decoration material presents different shades and textures, with an obvious three-dimensional relief, which enhances the artistic appeal of the pressure-bearing material. Main uses: product packaging, handicrafts, and decorative materials.

5. Hot stamping: hot stamping anodized aluminum foil on the like, hot stamping does not mean that the color of the hot stamping is gold. There are many kinds of hot stamping paper materials, including gold, silver, laser gold, laser silver, etc. Uses: middle and high-end product packaging, gold and silver cards, laser cards, etc.

6. Frosting: The principle is to make the surface of the original smooth object not smooth, so that the light will form a diffuse reflection on the surface, that is, the object will no longer have the bright mirror-like effect, and the texture of the object will be enhanced. many. Main uses: high-end business cards, packaging, etc.

7. Over UV: It is only by UV irradiation to dry and cure the ink. UV is usually a screen printing process, and now there is also an offset printing process. A special process for fully or partially curing UV photo resist on the surface of the printed matter.

8. Embossing: Use the concave template (negative template) to emboss the surface of the printed matter into a relief-like pattern with a concave feeling (the printed matter is partially concave, making it three-dimensional and causing visual impact).

The above are the processes we often use in packaging and printing. If you have any packaging that needs to be customized or other ideas and suggestions that need to be supplemented, you are welcome to contact our editor from Yehuan packaging.
